Who we are
ExactKB is an on-device photo-compression utility published by Feemag. It does not require an account and does not operate an image-processing backend.
The ExactKB website
The website at exactkb.feemag.com compresses photos inside your web browser. Photos you choose are read, compressed and offered for download on your own device; they are never uploaded to a server. The website shows no ads, sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives standard request information, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the pages.
Images
- Selected photos are processed on your device.
- Your original file is never overwritten.
- Temporary working copies are deleted when no longer required, when you start another compression, or when the app next launches.
- Compressed JPEG output strips EXIF metadata, including embedded location and camera information.
Information stored on your device
ExactKB stores only app preferences locally, including:
- Your last selected target size
- Your light, dark, or system theme choice
- A successful-compression count used to limit how often interstitial ads appear
These values do not include your images.
Advertising
ExactKB may display ads supplied by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google states that this data is encrypted in transit.
On Android, ExactKB declares access to the advertising ID. Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform requests consent before ads are loaded. Image files and image contents are never sent to Google Mobile Ads.

Permissions and network access
Photo and media access is used to select images and save compressed results. Internet access is used by Google Mobile Ads to request and display advertising. Compression itself remains fully on-device.
Purchases and children
This release does not offer in-app purchases. ExactKB is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
